Safe Church Training

The safety and wellbeing of all persons is our shared responsibility. For those with access to church buildings, and those who work with specific groups within the life of the church, including children through our parish nursery, are required to hold current Safe Church certification in the Episcopal Diocese of Southern Virginia.
Instructions for Safe Church Training
You may either complete Safe Church training through an in-person session, or online. See the Diocese of Southern Virginia’s Safe Church website for a listing of in-person training sessions and current policies. Certification is valid for three years from date of receipt.

For keycard access, complete the following five modules for Universal Training, which includes these five modules

Once you have completed your training, email your certificates to the Chaplain.

Nursery staff and others who work directly with children are required to receive Specialized Safe Church Training. Following the instructions above, please complete the following Safe Church modules:
