Canterbury Vestry
Canterbury is led by student leaders known as the Vestry, which serve as our governing body. Modeled after a parish church vestry, the Canterbury Vestry is composed of leaders who focus on our common life together: worship, service, fellowship, and fundraising. The Vestry is led by two student Wardens (think: committee president and vice president) and advised by the Chaplain.

Leslie Ipock, Senior Warden
Hi! I’m Leslie, a senior from Chesapeake, VA majoring in Public Health and minoring in Music. I found Canterbury during orientation my freshman year. Since then, I have joined vestry and served on the Fellowship Committee and as Junior Warden and have met many of my closest friends at services and Intramural Sports games. I am so excited to spend my final year at William & Mary as Senior Warden and continue building community at Canterbury while having amazing fellowship events and praying together. In addition to Canterbury, I am the president of the Botetourt Chamber Singers, sing at Bruton in the Pelham and Chancel choirs, and sing at Christ & St. Luke’s in Norfolk. Canterbury has been the most influential part of my time at William & Mary and I hope that other students will feel the same!

Amelia Keck, Junior Warden
Hi everyone! My name is Amelia Keck! I'm a junior from Virginia Beach majoring in Psychology and minoring in Kinesiology! I have grown up in the Episcopal Church and at the retreat center for the Diocese of Southern Virginia, Camp Chanco. These have been such integral parts of who I am, so finding an Episcopal community at William and Mary was so important to me. It's safe to say I found just that. I was fortunate enough to join the Fellowship Committee of the Vestry in the second semester of my freshman year. I met so many wonderful people who kept me grounded in a challenging year of my life! I can only hope that I can offer the same support to new and returning Canterburians. Having things like Evening prayer and our Sunday dinners built into my week provides great opportunities for spiritual growth, but they wouldn't be the same without my Canterbury pals. Outside of Canterbury, I am a member of Pi Beta Phi, Greek Intervarsity, and serve as the Publicity Chair for Pointe Blank Dance Company! It wouldn't be William and Mary without 4 different organizations that have nothing to do with each other. I hope everyone has an amazing semester and year ahead! You all are in my prayers!!
